Remodeling

We have done a little remodeling on our house - a little inside and a little on the outside.  The outside is still being finished, but here is the what has been done so far.

Here is Abe cleaning away rocks and bricks

Digging up bricks
I came home from school on Friday and part of the step was gone!
Screen and frame up for the patio

Came home from Garden on Sat and frame up for the step outside of our bedroom door.

Step outside of the kitchen door gone and frame up!

The work Abe did was awhile ago before he hurt his hand.  The patio is being up in by a local contractors here in Sublette.  We can't wait until we have a patio!  Now we will have to find patio furniture!

I will post pictures when it is all done and post pictures of our house later!

Button Button who's got the button?

Abe does!  Actually he has 2 that are keeping the tendons tight that are in his fingers that the doctor repaired.  Today we went to the doctor and two hours later we finally left.  The nurse took his bandage off, the doctor took his pin out and the most exciting thing -- she left the bandage off!  Abe still can't drive the semi and his hand is very sensitive.  We will go back in 2 weeks and hopefully the doctor will take the buttons off and his hand will feel a whole lot better!  We are praising God that he didn't cut hand worse than what he did.  The doctor said more than once today that he was very lucky that he didn't loose any fingers.  We would appreciate prayers for the next 2 weeks to go quickly, for continued healing on Abe's fingers, and patience for Abe that he doesn't try to do more things than what he should.

Note ** I am going to post a picture of Abe's hand - what you will see is the buttons on his fingers and some dried blood - his hand is too sensitive right now to clean it up.  The white on his arm is lotion.

Jasee Sings

Jasee has been attending the Methodist Church preschool this year and this morning her class sang during church; so this morning and Abe and I went to the Methodist Church to watch her sing!

Cooper gets a bath!

Abe and I went to my parents today and we gave Cooper a bath!  He actually did pretty well.  Abe took some pictures since he couldn't help.  I should have asked him to get some video because it was pretty funny at times.

Girls Night Out!

Last night Miranda Lambert performed at the new United Wireless Arena in Dodge City so we took advantage of it and had a girl's night out.  We're had a lot of fun and we're hoping that there will be many more opportunities to take advantage of events that will be coming to the new arena!

Next time I'm going to take my good camera and not the cheap Kodak one - all the pictures are grainy!

This would be a great picture if that person's hands weren't in the way!

Jailee

On March 27th we had the privilege of witnessing Jailee's baptism.  We are so proud of her and can't wait to see how the Lord is going to work in her life.

2 more weeks

A quick update to let you all know that Abe will be in his bandage for at least two more weeks.  There is an opening in Abe's bandage on the palm side of his hand - it's big enough for the doctor to stick her fingers in there, but you can't see his hand if you try to look.  We went to the doctor on Tuesday; she stuck her fingers in there; asked him to move his fingers and said that he needed to come back in two weeks.  She didn't unwrap his bandage because she wants to give the tendons more time to heal.

Abe is getting really good at doing things with only one hand!  The other day I came home from school and he was mowing the yard!  He has been spending his days out at the office doing paper work and other things that are easy to do with one hand.  Please continue to pray for quick healing and patience!
