Christmas

We had a good Christmas.  We spent Christmas Eve with Melodee's parents and split Christmas day between going to Dodge to be with Melodee's Godparents and in the evening we went to Abe's parents.  Melodee spent a week in Charlotte with Tyler, Carrie, and the kids!  Everytime I go see the kids I take over 500 pictures; they are so cute and it's so easy to capture all that cuteness on camera (although it is much better in person)!  Don't worry I won't post all the pictures that I took!

Abe and I gave Maggie and Henry recordable story books.

They loved them!

We went to Lowe's Motor Speedway - looked at lights; the kids fed some animals....

Home Sweet Home

Well maybe not perfect home sweet home, but it works for us right now.  Our house needs a lot of updating, we have started with the easy stuff and maybe the bigger, more expensive stuff will get done at some point!  Hope you enjoy seeing our house through pictures and you are always welcome to come visit us!

This is the entry way.  I picked out curtains and mom hemmed them for me.  We painted the walls a brown color and the front door an off white color. There is a coat closet to the right that you can't see and we painted the door the same color as the front door.

This is the living room

The kitchen.  The window use to have polls in it and Abe took those down.

Office.  We painted this room a blue color

Bathroom.

Laundry room.  It's a nice size room.  The water heater and furnace is in this room and they are exposed and I don't like that.  Hopefully some day we can build some sort of wall/door to enclose them.  The house goes in a circle.  This is taken from the kitchen.  There is a hallway that goes to the left (by the pictures).  In this hall way there is the office, bathroom, and spare bedroom and then it goes into the living room.

This is our bedroom.  It use to be the garage and at some point it was turned into a bedroom.  I picked out the curtains that are in this room (it takes 4 panels to cover the windows).

Spare bedroom or the kid's room.  When the girls or Gage stays with us this is where they stay.

Another view of our bedroom.  You can't see the curtains that great over the door and window, but I picked those out and my mom hemmed them for me.

Here is what the kitchen wall use to look like.  I like that the polls are gone, I feel like it opens up the room a lot.

We peeled wall paper off and put primer on before we painted it again.
And here is the finished wall.  The red didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted, but I like it now.

Abe and dad replaced 5 ceiling fans one weekend.  2 in our room, 2 in the living room, and 1 in the spare bedroom. This is one of them in the living room.

Replacing one in our bedroom.
Outside of our house.  There is a detached garage and that is ours too.

So there is our house.  It's better if you see it in person so come see us sometime!

Cooper likes to lay on his back.  Here he is chewing on a bone.

My dad taught Cooper how to sit up!  Cooper now sits up all the time; whenever he thinks there is a chance to get a treat he automatically sits up!  (Sorry about this video being on it's side)
